Vascular Residents/Fellows Case Competition

We hope you are making plans to attend the International Aortic Summit, October 17-19, 2024, on the beautiful island of Aruba. We are pleased to announce the IAS Vascular Residents and Fellows Case Competition. We expect a record number of cases again this year, but a limited number of scholarships will be awarded.

Submission Guidelines

This Case Competition is open to Fellows or Vascular Residents currently enrolled in an ACGME accredited program. Submit an Interesting Case or Case Series by August 2, 2024, in abstract format. Only Aortic cases (open or endo) are eligible and preference will be given to those submitting cases resulting in complications that were successfully managed, those that used innovative techniques, or those that have rare or unique findings. Cases will be reviewed by the IAS Program Committee who will select the Best 10-15 Cases submitted for presentation.

The Case Competition Session will be held during the IAS meeting. Presentations are limited to five (5) minutes with the use of no more than 10 PowerPoint slides.

Scholarships

Residents or Fellows whose abstracts are selected for presentation in the Case Competition will be reimbursed for Economy Air Fare to Aruba purchased at least 4 weeks prior to the meeting; will receive complimentary registration for the meeting and up to a maximum of two (2) nights’ hotel accommodations at the Hilton Aruba.
